Questions we get commonly asked - who builds a KIT? What was the moment they knew it was right for them?
Typically, we find it’s someone looking for furniture that will last a long time. But not just that, the end product is always one of a kind.
Joshua C. from Snohomish, WA shared the story behind his build using 2x4 reclaimed lumber.
We were rebuilding some cabins in Eastern Washington and wanted them to have a vintage look and feel. The Basic Board Kit allowed us to use salvaged barn wood from a local farm to make end tables for people to put luggage, groceries, or other items on. Embarrassingly I have minimal woodworking knowledge.
Outside of a shop class in high school I have never had the opportunity to build something like this. It was a great opportunity to learn some new skills, but was remarkably easy to assemble. One advantage of the Basic Board Kit is that we could choose the length, breadth, and type of wood we wanted to use. This allowed us to select something that both fits our aesthetic and is a quality product that will last a long time. I would suggest this kit to anyone that wants an easy and fun way to make a piece of furniture that is both durable and truly one of a kind.
